Jesse J. Hernandez joined Toth Financial in 1994, excited by the firm’s commitment to honesty, excellent customer service and financial prowess. His desire to provide top-notch client service and financial oversight is what makes Jess successful.

Jess retired from the Navy in 1994 as a Rear Admiral, after spending 36 years as a naval aviator. He served his country in the Viet Nam war. He has a strong commitment to building the communities he serves. He served on the Board of Directors for the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) for six years and chaired its Investment Committee for two years. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of the United Services Automobile Association (USAA) for two years. He is actively involved in the Alexandria Rotary Club where he served as president in 2001-2002.

Jess also served as chairman from 1996-1998 for the “Investment in Character” Fund Campaign for Southern Fairfax County, for the Boy Scouts of America. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U. S. Naval Academy and a Master of Science degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University. He also graduated from the National War College, the Armed Forces Staff College and from the Navy Test Pilot School.

Jess teases that one of his more important roles in life has been serving as his wife Marge’s unpaid gardener and handyman. He enjoys spending time with their two children, Brian and Susan Elizabeth and his four grandchildren.
